Conflicts of Interest
On 1 October 2008, the new statutory regime on directors' conflicts of interest will come into force. Shepherd and Wedderburn invites you to this interactive seminar which will discuss the practical application of the new rules and their effects as well as looking at implications for service contracts.
If you are an Executive or Non-Executive Director, Company Secretary or HR Director, this seminar will make you aware of the new statutory regime so you can understand its effects on you and your business. Situations to be discussed include:
- Where a director is on the board of another company which has business dealings with the company.
- Where a director is on the board of a significant shareholder or is himself a significant shareholder.
- Where a director is also a director of the company's pension trustee company or a trustee of the pension fund.
- Where a director is a competitor or a potential competitor.
Audience
Executive and Non-Executive Directors, Company Secretaries, Heads of Legal, Finance Directors and HR Directors of both public and private companies.
