John is dual qualified in Scotland and Germany, and has experience in dealing with competition authorities at both national and EU level. John also has experience of major domestic and cross border mergers and joint ventures in a variety of sectors, including life sciences. After qualifying in Scotland, John gained considerable experience in all aspects of EU and UK competition law in Brussels and London. In 2003 he also qualified as a German Rechtsanwalt. John has particular industry experience in fast moving consumer goods, financial services and the pharmaceutical industry.
