£74 Million Deal Concludes Five Year Project

  • Shepherd and Wedderburn completes the sale of the business and assets comprising Omni Leisure Complex
  • Project to transform Edinburgh eyesore draws to a close

Law firm Shepherd and Wedderburn, has completed the sale of the business and assets of Pillar Property plc, comprising of the Omni Leisure Complex in Edinburgh, for £74 million

Shepherd and Wedderburn has been working with Pillar on the Omni Project, and adjoining office development, since the potential of the gap site at Greenside Place was identified by Pillar. The development comprises multiplex cinema, hotel, health club and various bar and restaurant outlets. Shepherd and Wedderburn advised Pillar on initial acquisition, funding, construction and development, planning, letting and disposal.

Nick Ryden, Shepherd and Wedderburn’s lead partner on the Omni project, said "This has been a major project for Shepherd and Wedderburn. Once again we have played a major role in facilitating the ongoing regeneration of Edinburgh, and have drawn on skills from across the firm."
