Shepherd and Wedderburn recruits corporate finance partner for growing Aberdeen office
Law firm Shepherd and Wedderburn has recruited an experienced corporate finance specialist as partner in its growing Aberdeen office.
Helen Dickson joins Shepherd and Wedderburn from Ledingham Chalmers where she was a partner specialising in corporate finance work, acting on behalf of corporate clients, banks, equity houses and other organisations. Her experience includes a wide range of debt fundings, equity investments and restructuring transactions, as well as management buy outs, acquisitions and disposals, particularly in the oil and gas sector.
Helen recently acted in the transaction which won the Scottish Business Insider Small/Mid Size Deal of the Year 2004 - the MBO and subsequent sale of RGIT Montrose Group Ltd.
This appointment comes shortly after John Southworth joined Shepherd and Wedderburn as a consultant to the energy team, and Helen's experience will complement his consultancy work for the firm.
Shepherd and Wedderburn chief executive, Patrick Andrews, said:
"We are delighted that Helen has chosen to work with Shepherd and Wedderburn, at a time when there were many options open to her. Her appointment reinforces our plans to grow both our oil and gas practice and our Aberdeen office and will help us to build on the reputation we have already established in the Aberdeen market."
