Shepherd and Wedderburn named Employment Team of the Year

The Employment Team at leading law firm Shepherd and Wedderburn has been named ‘Employment Team of the Year’ at The 2009 Legal Awards.

The firm, which beat off stiff competition from legal professionals across Scotland, was selected by a panel of independent experts from business, law and politics, chaired by Margo MacDonald MSP.

Sheila Gunn, head of employment at the firm, said: “This is an excellent accolade for the firm. We work hard to consistently deliver positive results and the panel recognised our team as a major force with heavyweight clients. Our success at these influential industry awards is a superb testimony to the team’s strength, commitment and expertise.”

The awards were presented at a lunch hosted by Dougie Vipond on 27 March at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre. Lord Paddy Ashdown delivered the guest speech.
