  • Partnership now 69 strong

Leading UK law firm Shepherd and Wedderburn has appointed Patrick Bell as a Partner in its Banking and Finance team.  Patrick was the UK resident partner and head of finance at Linklaters'  Warsaw office for four years until he returned to Scotland in 2005. He joins Shepherd and Wedderburn with effect from  3rd October 2007.

Patrick, a graduate of Durham University and Guildford Law School, is the seventh partner to join the firm this year. He will join the highly experienced banking team whose specific expertise lies in the leveraged finance, capital markets and securitisation, real estate, energy and PFI arenas.

In addition to mainstream banking work, Patrick's role will be providing project finance support which will complement the growth of other areas of the firm including:

Patrick Andrews, Chief Executive of Shepherd and Wedderburn, commented that, 'We are very pleased that Patrick has decided to join our Banking and Finance team. He brings invaluable experience and his appointment brings further strength and depth to a burgeoning area of our practice.'
