New property partner announcement
- Shepherd and Wedderburn appoints new property partner in their Edinburgh office
- New appointment takes partnership to 67 strong
Leading UK law firm Shepherd and Wedderburn has appointed Neil Rainey as a partner in the Property Division. He was previously a partner in the Real Estate Practice Group at K&L Gates and took up his appointment on 27th August 2007.
Neil, a graduate of Exeter University, has broad-based experience of major property development work, investment acquisitions and sales, property finance and the property aspects of major corporate transactions. His recent work includes acting for a range of Northern Irish banks lending against the security of real estate situated in England and Wales. His expertise, especially in the English property market, will build on Shepherd and Wedderburn's growing property finance capability.
Patrick Andrews, chief executive of Shepherd and Wedderburn, commented: “We are delighted that Neil is joining our growing property team which will strengthen our capabilities in giving English property advice to our clients. Neil is a significant boost to our property finance offering and will assist us in further developing the increasing flow of work from Northern Ireland.”
