Taking the high road on Caledonian Challenge

A team from the Aberdeen office of law firm Shepherd and Wedderburn showed it had the measure of its competitors when it became the fastest legal team to complete the Caledonian Challenge.

The quartet completed the non-stop 54 mile charity trek along the West Highland Way from Fort William to Loch Lomond at the weekend, raising £2,800 and counting for the Scottish Community Foundation.

The Shepherd and Wedderburn team was led home by solicitor Remi Tissa, who completed the challenge in an impressive time of 16 hours and 41 minutes. Team-mates Richard Cockburn, Calum MacLeod and Grant Milligan crossed the finishing line just after 3.00 am on Sunday morning.

Richard said: "We are a competitive bunch in the Aberdeen office and it was a great result to come out on top as the leading law firm in the challenge.  So far we have raised £2,800 for the Scottish Community Foundation, which is fantastic.

"It was a really tough challenge and all the members of our team finished in the top 150, which is a fantastic result given that nearly 1,500 people took part in the trek.

"Members of the Aberdeen office have taken part in the Baker Hughes Aberdeen 10K and the Edinburgh half marathon, with the Aberdeen 5K Race for Life still to come, so we are certainly one of the fittest firms in the city."
