Citizens Theatre Sponsorship
The Citizens’ Theatre is delighted to announce that is has extended sponsorship deals with two of its major supporters, including its first ever five year deal. Both energy giant ScottishPower and leading UK law firm Shepherd and Wedderburn have committed to deals which will support the theatre’s programming through to 2009.
ScottishPower has signed a 3 year sponsorship deal with the Citizens' Theatre beginning with this year's Christmas production of 'Peter Pan'. The energy giant has been a corporate member of the theatre since 2000, and sponsored 2005’s Christmas production, 'Charlotte's Web', but this is the first multi-year deal the theatre has signed with the company.
UK law firm Shepherd and Wedderburn, which has a major presence in the Glasgow market, has signed up to a further 2 year sponsorship of the popular 'A Citizens' Audience with...' at the Citizens' Theatre. This follows on from its initial 3 year sponsorship of the run and is the first five year sponsorship deal that the theatre has ever embarked on.
Antonia Brownlee, Development Manager at the Citizens’ Theatre said:
“We are delighted that both organisations have decided to continue their relationship with The Citizens’ Theatre. Both partnerships have allowed us to develop our programme and are invaluable to the theatre’s ability to produce creative, quality work.”
