SCLF AGM
Event: AGM of the Scottish Competition Law Forum (SCLF)
Date: 30 November 2006
Venue(s): Shepherd and Wedderburn, Saltire Court, 20 Castle Terrace, Edinburgh (AGM from 6pm), and then onto Scotch Malt Whisky Society, 28 Queen Street, Edinburgh (dinner from 8pm)
The SCLF celebrates its first anniversary meeting on the eve of St Andrew's Day.
The SCLF was established in 2005 to promote discussion and debate on competition law and policy in Scotland.
This event is to be an occasion for all Forum members to gather and reflect on a promising first year, and to look ahead to 2007 and discuss the direction and priorities of the Forum.
Keynote speaker, The Honourable Sir Andrew Park, will be reflecting on his involvement as judge in the Crehan case. The Crehan case was the first and only case to date in which an English Court awarded damages in a claim for breach of competition law.
The after dinner guest speaker is Ian Forrester QC, who is involved in the ongoing Microsoft case at the European Court of Justice and has acted in several other high profile cases such as Magill, IMS and the Bosman football transfer rules case.
The event is open to members and non-members.
